The Templars fought hard and many got killed. Those who were killed were not given a proper burial but were fed to dogs and wolves. The Knight’s Templar were eventually betrayed and killed by the king, Philip the 4th and the pope. Most of the templars died and some of the survivors managed to escape to Scotland and started the Masons.
